was born December 25, 1926 in Boston, MA. He married ANNE DOROTHY FOSTER June 11, 1948 in Providence, RI, daughter of WILLIAM FOSTER and DORIS WALMSLEY.

Notes for ELMER HALL PALMER:

ELMER H. was born on Christmas morning at home on Alpha Rd., Dorchester MA. He attended schools in Dorchester and Public Latin School in Boston, MA. His family removed to Cranston, RI, after the 1938 Hurricane, which did extensive damage to properties of his father EARL. He graduated from Cranston High School and after service in the US NAVY during WW II attended The Rhode Island School of Design, majoring in Textile Engineering. He worked for a short time after marriage in the Hardware Business in Warwick, RI. He then moved to Sarasota, FL and then to Los Angeles, CA pursuing work in the Hardware Trade. His daughter CAROL was born on the 24th anniversary of his birth in Sarasota, FL. Upon return to Rhode Island he opened his own hardware store, with his father, in East Greenwich, RI. In subsequent years he and his father developed land of his grandfather ROWLAND B. into a Mobile Home Park. ELMER H. has had a rather busy life belonging to many fraternal, genealogical and heritage societies, to wit: Boy Scouts of America, 3rd Cranston-Life Scout-Snr. Ptr.
